We’ve had a month of harsh winter, frigid cold, and plenty of snow. It’s been a month filled with limited sleep, a farm that never stops in the unforgiving weather, and a big brother who is trying to get used to a little brother. It’s also a month where I have cherished holding this tiny baby — knowing he will never be this small again. I wish the other parts of life would quiet down, but I’m so grateful to the family and friends who help us care for both our boys. I remind myself I can’t let any of it stop me from enjoying the sweet personality of this patient and snuggly baby. Happy 1 month Nolan. #1monthThe edge of our #farm yard looks more like the #Arctic than it should. And the wind today was — intense. #brrrr #minnesota #valentinesdayAll my #valentines! 💙💙💙This calf and this BABY! 🥰 I was pretty convinced I didn’t get any pictures with both creatures looking, but they surprised me. #dairymom #newborn #allthelove #4weeksoldCopyright 2018

Running the Lake Wobegon Trail Marathon
Saturday morning I ran the race I’ve spent months preparing for. I pondered over training plans, ran long miles on snowy roads, stewed over small injuries, tried out new flavors of gu and probably drove my husband and dogs half … Continue reading

Marathons, Farming, Spring, and Me!
Spring showed up a few days ago, and now we’ve got warm sunshine, melting snow, and more mud than we know what to do with. Every season brings its own challenges! Just because it was 50 degrees today doesn’t mean … Continue reading
