We’ve had a month of harsh winter, frigid cold, and plenty of snow. It’s been a month filled with limited sleep, a farm that never stops in the unforgiving weather, and a big brother who is trying to get used to a little brother. It’s also a month where I have cherished holding this tiny baby — knowing he will never be this small again. I wish the other parts of life would quiet down, but I’m so grateful to the family and friends who help us care for both our boys. I remind myself I can’t let any of it stop me from enjoying the sweet personality of this patient and snuggly baby. Happy 1 month Nolan. #1monthThe edge of our #farm yard looks more like the #Arctic than it should. And the wind today was — intense. #brrrr #minnesota #valentinesdayAll my #valentines! 💙💙💙This calf and this BABY! 🥰 I was pretty convinced I didn’t get any pictures with both creatures looking, but they surprised me. #dairymom #newborn #allthelove #4weeksoldCopyright 2018

Families, Kids, and Immigration
I shared this on Instagram yesterday, and I thought it fit nicely here, too. As I’ve picked up and held this handsome babe over the last week my heart has been so heavy with the knowledge that hopeful immigrants … Continue reading
Being Intentional About Singing in the Kitchen
Speedy and I like to run around the kitchen exuberantly dancing and singing. Everything from nursery rhymes and Christmas songs to the latest pop hits. We laugh about our ridiculous moves until the dogs perk up their ears and stare as they try to … Continue reading
