We’ve had a month of harsh winter, frigid cold, and plenty of snow. It’s been a month filled with limited sleep, a farm that never stops in the unforgiving weather, and a big brother who is trying to get used to a little brother. It’s also a month where I have cherished holding this tiny baby — knowing he will never be this small again. I wish the other parts of life would quiet down, but I’m so grateful to the family and friends who help us care for both our boys. I remind myself I can’t let any of it stop me from enjoying the sweet personality of this patient and snuggly baby. Happy 1 month Nolan. #1monthThe edge of our #farm yard looks more like the #Arctic than it should. And the wind today was — intense. #brrrr #minnesota #valentinesdayAll my #valentines! 💙💙💙This calf and this BABY! 🥰 I was pretty convinced I didn’t get any pictures with both creatures looking, but they surprised me. #dairymom #newborn #allthelove #4weeksoldCopyright 2018

Birthday Fun, Easter, Racing, and April Snow

Running Through 2017
Another Minnesota winter is half over, and I’m grateful it’s been low on the snowfall totals. We have had our share of below-zero, frigid days, but at least the roads have stayed relatively dry and open for running! I’m getting back … Continue reading
My Twin Cities Marathon
It was a beautiful October Sunday morning in St. Paul, Minnesota, and I was on my way back from dropping a friend off at the airport. I had driven I-35 to get there, but I opted to take Highway 5 … Continue reading
Long July Days
Summer daylight is long. The amount of light we have this time of year is both wonderful and exhausting. It makes me feel like I should be doing more to capitalize on the daylight, and some days I am. … Continue reading
